The Design Process
Your personalized initial interview will include:
A horticultural and design evaluation of your property and plantings.
Discussion of any problems (privacy, drainage, noise, etc.) that you would like to have addressed.
Assessment of your needs and desires for use of the space, your personal preferences for plants and general style of garden, and the levels of maintenance that might be required.
A general discussion of what changes might be made.
This meeting can be extended to identify existing plants and/or to discuss additional issues.
If you wish to proceed with the creation of a plan for your yard, you will be asked to provide a copy of your property survey, photos will be taken, and a set of drawings will be created for you.
These will include:
A site analysis. This identifies the issues you would like addressed.
A concept plan. This is a diagram of how the issues could be addressed.
A master plan. This shows the areas of your yard to be renovated, the locations of any hardscape and plants to be installed, and includes a detailed plant list that you can take with you to the nursery.
A rendered (hand-colored) version of the master plan.
All Maple Glade plans are carefully hand-drawn to scale and are easy to follow. They show the placement of each plant, and include a plant list with both common and botanical names. Construction and drainage details are provided when relevant.
Maple Glade garden design plans can be implemented in stages as time and budget allow.
At Maple Glade, no project is too small!
